I think the funny part is that most of our old former compatriots would absolutely enjoy this, if they new it existed or how to get involved. Definitely enjoyable memories that I wouldn't trade for anything. I think the most unique servers I've been on were for sci-fi themes or settings like the Clone Wars, Fallout, WW3RP/so on. I started on Catalyst Gaming's OpenAura HL2RP back in 2009/2010. Was always something else going on.Īs someone who, too, has thousands of hours on Garry's Mod, I understand the feeling. I really did like Military RP and Hogwarts RP for the longest time and actually still play Hogwarts RP time to time.
#DO PEOPLE STILL PLAY GMOD 2019 MOD#
Wasn't until I got on GTAW and had a taste of the RP here that I realized just how toxic a lot of the Gmod RP community is, though.ĭefinitely feel like a Garry's Mod oldie, though I never stuck my head in the door at TnB or Nebulous. However, I really never felt like I was able to find a RP server that I could stay for at long, people always seem to kind of ruin it and troll. All in all I had a great time, considering I continued to spend time there for nine years. My Gmod time was mostly spent on Fallout RP, though I did spend a lot of time at a few custom lore fantasy servers and some cyberpunk servers as well. Started at a community called Infusion Gaming with a Fallout setting. Also some become cops and RDA you, (Random Arresting) an action worthy of demote.I've done serious RP on Gmod since late 2010. Their activities include propblocking, propspamming, propsurfing, propclimbing (all usually referred to as propminging,) as well as RDM'ing (see above,) micspamming, and anything else that breaks server rules. They do this through the use of exploiting the prop protection system and the availability of weapons.

Minges in this game mode generally cause as many problems as possible. See Random Deathmatch Simplicity Issues īecause of how simple it is to play, it is frequented by minges. Beware Money printers are highly illegal and can get you arrested. Some servers have various things available for printers, such as printer coolers and even XL sized printers that make more money. Please note that the fire can kill the player and damage breakable objects. The money printer will make about $250 every so often, until it overheats and explodes into a fire. The money can be used for any purpose that the owner sees fit.Īlternatively, players can buy a money printer. But it varies per server and specific class. The only class that doesn't get a salary is the Hobo class, due to the nature of the class.

Players can set any job they want, but most servers restrict ones like 'Hitman' and 'Killer' because they feel it gives players an illegitimate reason to RDM people.Įach class gets around $50 per minute, well depends on their jobs. See each class' page to find out more about the class.Īlso, each server should have a chat command (normally /job jobname) to set a customized job. All classes can buy weapons from a gun dealer, but most weapons available are considered illegal to the public. So when a mod starts looking at a report someone made against you or you made then it appears who is handling the report. Pike i'm not entirely sure how Hamachi works but from what i know is you guys both have to connect to the same virtual ip and i think you have to join a single-player game and type something into the console but you.
